Raw Month

I am going raw for one month, and this blog is dedicated to documenting my journey and experiences. Being brand-new to raw foodism, I've spent the past month or so researching the benefits of this lifestyle. I've read countless books and articles which claim wonderful things about raw food, and I'm excited for my own experiences to begin.

For tracking purposes, here is a list of my current maladies. A "before" list, if you will:

- blemishes/oily skin
- fatigue, especially after meals of any sort
- mood swings
- excessive thirst and urination
- weight issues (start weight = 137)
- caffeine addiction

The big day was yesterday. I stopped grocery shopping for a bit and waited until all my "dead" food was used up. I stocked my pantry and fridge with organic produce, raw nuts and seeds, cold-pressed olive oil, and special unpasteurized apple cider vinegar. I threw a bunch of nuts and legumes into jars and began germinating. I pulled the juicer out of the closet and warmed up the blender.

This is all very new. It's going to be an interesting month.
